Contrary to common belief, I think tls is both defensive and growth- here's why.

Mobile/Internet is nowadays non- discretionary spending. The migration onto nbn will result in dependence on the network in much the same way as copper lines have for over 50 years.

Growth will come from the transformation of our society to a fully integrated, connected fibre. Internet tv will change tv forever, services for Internet/mobile/home phone/foxtel will all be bundled in various packages and tls will extract more $ per customer than now going forward. Finally secure cloud computing will also provide future revenue. These are just some of the goods and services tls will be able to sell off a fixed cost base. And it's just the beginning of this tech future. Who know what we will be paying for in the future.

Icing on the cake is that the yield of 9% is fully underwritten and secure now so I see this as the best buy on the market. Defensive with undervalued growth prospects.
