If any of you new holders had been around when the company held their recent phone conference to explain their last presentation, you would have heard a very professional explanation from the Directors involved in the day to day running of the business. Unlike all these other recent RTO's, they made the effort to explain how they see the company moving forward. Hats off to them as they are pro active rather than re active. The company was the top mover on Friday and the Google announcement has helped the light to be shone on their direction.
Running a business that has "feel good" attributes, listed in Australia and having their main market overseas is not an easy gig. The reason they explained, as to why they wanted to take over Plus Connect was because Australian telcos would not give them the time of day. In the USA and UK, it is a different story. Taking over Plus Connect gives them the opportunity to be seen in Australia for the first time. The Google announcement is important, but not as important as the product offering they have. For Google its another business transaction. They won't invest as its too small, so they invest , time and energy.
