As I said before..the PNG goverment share holding is NOT FORSALE....same as Oilsearch......so if Newmont acquired a stake in the company they will never be able to take it over....same as the coppermine in Bouganville...the PNG goverment will not sell their Shares..as the landowners have certain rights which cannot be resolved.....thats WHY they sold their stake they had in the first place..after all that one mine in PNG has 40 million ozs GOLD......and LHG owns it....I am not sure if they still hold hedged positions...
