As for MSB being acutely vulnerable I believe an offer of even 5 bucks would start a bidding war.
IMO big pharma has been colluding together to keep offers off the table... in publicly traded regen stocks anyway.
What I can perhaps see is an equity buy in/ partnership with assurances and agreements to move the tech forward. Agreements that stipulate time lines and $$ spent.
ATHX has been duped into bad partnerships with Pfizer and Roche for the sole purpose of delaying adoption IMO
Remember no big deals with leading cell therapy companies have been inked yet. Silvu and others are holding out.
