I have been holding since the low single digits over many years, so I don't trade. I use TA to largely refine my entry points, and to a far lesser extent (something I'm still poor at) - sell.
There's one other Q you have to answer, which is the hardest of them all - how much of that earnings growth is already factored into today's prices? Many will easily argue that a lot of it is, and even slight disappointments can torch the share price - that is the risk you're taking buying at still elevated levels.
