Look, this is just pure speculation from someone on the sidelines...

Personally, I don't see the value for Apple. AD8 wouldn't drive much activity in Apple's domain. (Now, I reckon it's distinctly possible that Apple may acquire all or some of Masimo - US company with roots in healthcare industry, now also owner of HiFi brands Denon. Marantz, B&W, Polk, etc. But that would be driven by a patent dispute in which Masimo alleges that their proprietary tech has been used in Apple watches...)

Anyway... the thought that AD8 may be acquired (once again, just a crazy idea) is based on the idea that audio and/or video networking tech could be integrated into silicon offerings (chipsets, SoCs, etc.) of some of the big players, driving adoption of their platforms in the AV industry. For some of these companies, USD1B is almost play money. Might even make sense for Microsoft - owning and fostering a widely adopted technology that might simplify the building, operation and interconnection of Teams Rooms and clients.

Again: just speculation on my part.
