Free will, I dont think I was trying to put forward any "theory", just voicing an opinion to the effect that I think the issue is a symbolic one that should be dealt with quiclky and with minimum cost so we can "move forward". Let gays marry or not, I dont care either way.
Dust, you are obviously far more intelligent, articulate and financially savy than myself, and I agree with you, I have sailed far to close to the wind. How stupid was I to purchase my first home in the first few months of 2009 with a view to having my own place to live and a maybe having a descent asset in the future instead of continually giving my hard earned away to property investors in the form of rent. And I dont blame gays for the rise in utility costs, The responsibility for that lies squarely with Queensland Labor who have mismanaged our economy for the past 10 years to the point of near ruin.
