As (I think) we've agreed recently Scott, this is all on the Prime Minister. Regardless of what was asked for, and who thought what, it's the Prime Minister who decided to try and guilt a Yes vote out of the electorate by forcing them to reject Indigenous recognition with a No Vote.

There have been meaner Prime Ministers in our recent history, but I certainly can't think of any dumber than this one. To think that he risked the entire nation telling First Australians we don't recognise them just to get a question over the line that could have been fulfilled by him alone via legislation :/. And he hasn't just missed Scott, he has missed by a country mile.

And now he has said he has no intention to legislate The Voice if the referendum fails, meaning he will willingly continue to "not listen" to First Australians, and continue to fund Indigenous Australian programs to the tune of $6+ BILLION per year despite an untold number of times telling us it doesn't work.

Have you ever seen a bigger own goal by a political leader in this country?
