"You are making an incorrect assertion that "Aboriginal people" all see things the same way.". ....... sorry if I gave you that impression - of course I don't think that. we can see plainly the variation of perspective between Price and Mundine and Thorpe. even more strongly to extend to those more passionate about them needing the Voice to be accepted. although I write about what I've learned of the pro-Voice position, of course I don't even speak for these people. I have only my understanding and so present my own opinions, but in order to present we are forced to use such generalisations to make those points.
"A small group of unelected elites are claiming the right to speak on their behalf even though so many of them are saying NO to it. This is a contradiction.". .. unfortunately you seem to misunderstand that you're referring to the working committee who have been working with only hundreds of Aboriginal people to formulate this proposal.
the voice legislation hasn't yet been formulated so you aren't referring to the people who would be chosen, presumably by election, of 24 members as proposed in the adjunctive description of the Uluru statement. I suggest you take a look at this from the
SBS LINK.
so your inference that the Voice will "
take away the voice of the actual people" is quite incorrect. its not about elites.
