Common Gavin, be genuine. As a long time reader of these threads, surely you know that Vintage has been predominantly an unwelcome voice here. To write what you have about 'stepping out of line with Vintage' - well that's just plain funny. For so long, he was like a lone wolf. Nowadays, his posts get more kudos than times past, but for you to infer this is a predominantly pro-Vintage website - well that's just stretching it a tad too far.

The question you ask has been asked of him so many times in the past and I'm genuinely surprised you missed all those posts.

A simple answer to your question? Whether he ultimately makes money or not, like you, Vintage probably does some homework on what he invests in. That's why he knew the previously espoused dates put forward by HQ to likely be unachievable. Had you done the same research at the time, I daresay you would have come up with the same view.
