In my mind the Royalty is an Asset but, how much of an asset is unknown due to the many unknowns facing the development of the infrastructure and finally the mine itself.
The cost of the rail link from the mine to port is the key...I say this because the cost of the rail link is upwards of 1 Billion and in order to gain any economies Adani will be forced to crank up production from the outset otherwise it will be a pointless exercise!
No one in their right mind is going to spend $1 billion on the rail link and keep production at some low level it makes no economic sense.
Is the Adani royalty sale able today?
Probably not the only person that would want to buy it would be Adani itself and if they wanted to buy it LNC should not sell it!! I can't see anyone else interested in buying a royalty with no income stream yet!
