Adani secures milestones

Adani has now secured some major milestones in its bid to build its $16 bill coal project in QLD. They have now secured all state and federal government approvals after years of legal delays and now hope to start construction in 2017 with them awaiting several final appeals and challenges for the full green light. There is also speculation that the Aus government will loan over $1 billion or half the costs of funding for the rail line to service the mine.

These developments bode well for CBQ with thermal coal prices rising steadily over the past year and CBQ sitting on 1.3 billion tonnes within the Galilee Basin with their Blackall Coal Project. A move to build rail and infrastructure in the area will see CBQ's asset back in play and with coal prices rising CBQ could well be a massive multibagger from these levels. Throw in the move into biofuels and the recent JV on gas assets and CBQ have a multi pronged asset base with its headline coal asset getting closer to adding significant value with Adani's project gaining traction in the Galilee Basin.
