Sydney - Wednesday - October 8: (RWE Aust Business News) - Bellevue Resources (ASX:BVE) reports encouraging preliminary results from the first hole in a 5-hole (or 1000m) drilling program at the Tumut Gold Mine prospect in southern NSW. The hole, on the 100pc-owned copper-gold Coolac project intersected 99m of disseminated sulphides and quartz alteration from 58.9m to 158.04m downhole. This drill hole was planned to test below a gossanous, quartz alteration zone at surface which produced rockchip sample results of 20m @ 4.05 g/t gold. Other rockchip sample results along strike included grades as high as 7.65 g/t gold and 45.6 g/t silver. Assay results for this first drill hole should be available in approximately 5 weeks. Managing Director, Mr Jeremy Read, said today that to intersect 99 metres of quartz alteration and disseminated mineralisation "was a very positive and exciting result for so early in the drill program".
