Finch Hatton Gorge, inland from Mackay, QLD outstanding. A place where time stops. In the Eugenella National Park. Cabins and camping ground accommodation. Would prob need one of those off-road type caravans as you have to cross several spillways, creek crossings to get there although I saw a small winebago pulled up. Short walks, 1-1.5 hours or longer treks. Or just relaxing. Lovely River Rock Café open most days.
