Hmmm... you need the URL (the webserver the file is currently sitting on) from which to link your image file to HC via HTML tags.
If it is a scanned image sitting on your hardrive then you need to upload the file via an FTP program to a webserver then link it.
Let us assume you have a copied gif .. right click on it >Properties and note the URL ... this is the webserver address and identity of the gif.
e.g. http://www.wacker.com.au/my favourite pic.gif
In you HC post you will now create a link to that file by including the HTML tags ...
e.g.
As long as the gif file remains at the original URL on the webserver, you will be able to link it.
Some people claim copyright for images ...
You can create and load your own image files to your own website with an FTP program but that is another story ...
