Guys.

Don't know whether anyone can help me here but the opening this morning was very confusing.

I have the live feed through Iress.

A minute or so before we opened I noticed something very strange with the bidding that I have never seen before.

There were only a handful of shares on offer at 16.5 and buyers were coming in one after the other with 17c bids. The indicative opening price however was still showing 16.5c.
When we did open, all those 17c bidders got their fill but they only had to pay 16.5 to get them.

Does anyone know how this is possible?

Is it the latest progression with algorithmic trading?
