Well ,that's interesting ,In Japan I was always told that doorways provided a strong area . And I can assure you that in Indonesia a bathroom doorway provided sanctuary for us ,most of the walls in my house had bloody great cracks in them ,more than 50% of the tiles on the roof fell off and many crashed through the ceiling . I saw whole walls fall over in another village and some of my staff died under and in their beds when walls and roofs collapsed. Actually the reason we were standing in the bathroom doorway was that for weeks we had been anticipating the local volcano blowing it's top and our friendly local doctor had told us to prepare a 200 litre drum of water ,towels ,and oxygen bottle/masks and if Merapi blew to go to the bathroom
