There will be extra spice on Friday, particularly after Crows forward Josh Jenkins fanned the flames by declaring "there'd be nothing better" than beating Dangerfield and "reminding" him that he should not have left the Crows. Dangerfield has moved to play this down but he understands what the best way to respond is. "I don't know if it's extra spice. It doesn't matter who our opponent is, we're going to win. We've got two games to go," he said.

    Predictions
This will be the Crows' fifth preliminary final since their 1998 premiership, having lost their previous four. They were humbled by Collingwood in 2002 at the MCG, West Coast in Perth in 2005, West Coast at Football Park in 2006 and Hawthorn at the MCG in 2012, the latter by five points.

For the Cats, this will be their eighth preliminary final in 11 seasons. The Crows will be fresh and ready but there is no reason why the Cats, buoyed by their take-down of the Swans, cannot cause another upset. The caveat is that Dangerfield will again need to deliver. Cats by 5 points.
