Unusual that QHL released an announcement via email Quickstep welcomes General Atomics’ Remote Piloted Aircraft selection (received to inbox 12.32pm) but no similar announcement to the market. Can only guess that is because the precise value to QHL is yet to be determined and a release may be curtailed by new asx rules around this.
Having said that..they do appear bullish about the 'substantial' business that could flow...
Sydney, 16 November 2018 – Quickstep Holdings Limited (ASX:QHL), the manufacturer of advanced carbon fibre composites, today announced that General Atomics Aeronautical Systems, Inc., the leader of the Team Reaper Australia Consortium, has been selected by the Australian Government to provide the Armed Remotely Piloted Aircraft System under Project Air 7003 for the Australian Defence Force (ADF). Quickstep is a member of this consortium and looks forward to negotiations with General Atomics on substantial composite manufacturing packages.
Quickstep’s portfolio of long-term defence and aerospace contracts includes component manufacturing for the Joint Strike Fighter (JSF) Program and the C-130J and LM-100J military and commercial transport aircraft. In the last 12 months Quickstep has also secured new business with Boeing Defense and Chemring, further expanding its customer portfolio.
