we could try using that email you got sent, and I think ATO wouldn't try to argue too hard against it, but ideally Deloitte would put something up on that web page addressed to all shareholders.
Also for the 80% capital loss, I'd rather not have to calculate or explain that to ATO. It's so messy and I never received any written confirmation of the number of shares transfered or my new shareholding. My preference is just claim the whole 100% this year through a straightforward wind up situation. Worst case I'll just do it for the full write off and let ATO dispute it if they want, I think they've got more pressing concerns at the moment TBH!
