I'm sure shareholders wouldn't really care as long as someone shows us the money - it's what we're all here for.
FP - Having ownership over 50% of the shares (if they and their mates are all in the top 20) would indeed be the best protection. And I believe once you hold roughly 15-20% of shares in a company - you need to then officially announce your intentions re takeover. Can't remember the exact figure but it was around that ballpark from memory.
