I didn't think it was wild at the time. I agreed with it and gave it my tick of approval. The fact that it didn't eventuate is, I believe, connected to factors from previous years.
Our new management have made a point of not making announcements unless they have something worthwhile to reveal. Kudos to them for doing exactly that.
But, having something to reveal doesn't always mean good news. This is where, I believe the problem lies. In previous years, bad news was buried. Are they now willing to declare bad news when it happens? We don't know that and as far as I know, they haven't said that they will.
Therefore, we still have a hangover from past behaviours to get past and I'm pretty sure that new investors will hold fire until they have confidence in this area or a money deal is locked in.
So no, I don't think that Surge's prediction was wild. Discounting previous behaviour, we are well below where we ought to be when considering the number of irons in the fire.
