I'm simply injecting a reality check there to the raving in here post AGM about how great the CEO is.
By stating that we can't attract a CEO with those credentials, you're underscoring the points I have previously made:
Despite a long recruitment process, the CEO position cannot seem to be filled by a top shelf candidate in the fields of batteries or diagnostics, nor apparently anyone who might last.
- What's the average length of CEO in this company since GC resigned? It's not something people talk about is it?
- we simply aren't going to attract top shelf candidates. I quite agree! What we disagree on is why.
- IMO it's because ADO and shareholders in their infinite wisdom have made quite a hash of things
IMO We
had an excellent Chairman. So shareholders, in their infinite wisdom (not) fired him.
IMO We
had an excellent Board member overseeing financial issues who negotiated the sale of Diasource. So shareholders in their infinite wisdom (not) fired him too.
Note we had no sensible instos involved who might have been a moderating force.
This is another element to risk because so much depends on subjective opinion. Because we don't have a lot of facts.
This is a risky stock and it's not made any less risky by ill informed knee jerk reactions of shareholders. It's about wanting to believe rather than reality. IMO.
With all of that, we
might,-
and it's only a might - be able to leverage some serious revenue out of batteries. IF targets are met.
Until then, as has been acknowledged, it's all about keeping afloat.
With all of that,
spending should be kept in check. Trips to Japan should be kept to a minimum and involve minimal staff.
The glory days are long over when ADO didn't have many shares on issue. We all were dreaming about contracts like POC1 with supposedly big players with deep pockets, which never happened, and shares were issued like confetti. Those were the days....
Ellume isn't going to make us rich. Anyone realistic knows that. Explain to me the dynamics of how it will make us rich. We're an add-on and I can't see the volumes or the price in a possible lucrative range. If you can see it please let me know. I'm more than happy to be corrected on this point.
$1 per test was laughed at. So what is it then? Nobody knows? Then why people pretend diagnostics is going to be great. At least Stockcount is realistic on this.
It's all about batteries. It's a race to get a foot in the door and prove our tech before partners are finalised and ADO runs out of options. This is the reality. IMO.
