lol people are being told to go to work even with Covid. Unless there's an outbreak of a more dangerous and vaccine resistant strain, COVID's done and dusted.
Cruise ships having it on board is a non-event now. Good luck convincing them they need a POC machine to test.
Even with such a machine to test, there's a period of incubation where it is not going to show.. And if someone boards the cruise with it incubating, it's going to be on board anyway.
Further to this, despite the Ruby Princess outbreak, the cruises have excellent lock downs for people showing symptoms.. This is coming from someone who was on a ship when the initial mandatory isolations were put in place. we had one person who had tested positive and the ship managed to isolate that person and prevent further spread. They've been practicing this for decades to avoid gastro outbreaks anyway.
The last cruises operating (which was the same time as the Ruby Princess was locked down) had way more safety in place than Border Force did. They turned away 150 guests from boarding based on where they had travelled to, they tested everyone's temperature and did way more for safety than border force on the way back in, who did nothing..
And the cruise fans are so into it that they've been booking cruises in droves.
Maybe some 6 star lines MIGHT implement better measures but who knows what that would look like.
This constant raving about Covid feels pretty dead in the water mate.. Sepsis and Battery tech, she's, but cmon.. Covid? please..
