i know the topic of taking over has been discussed before. however i got to read this issue (sep2010) of the mergermarket (part of financial times, so its not some random website) and i guess all SH should be really be prepared for that reality. hope this thread will provide some insights to takeovers, ADO sp potential


Under the pipeline of european expected deals (page40 http://www.mergermarket.com/PDF/MMAI_Sep_2010.pdf)

ADO is featured there as a Potential takeover target.

and the following is the list of potential bidder company.

Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc;
Roche Holding Ltd;
Life Technologies Corp;
Merck & Co Inc;
Abbott Laboratories;
Beckman Coulter Inc;
and Siemens Healthcare Diagnostics limited

under the comments section, it reads:

Anteo, the Australian surface technology diagnostics company, could pursue a deal with a global invitro
diagnostics company or bead manufacturer in the next three to six months, said Chief Executive Officer
Dr Geoff Cumming.



all those 7 companies mentioned are the biggest pharmas MNC, and once a bidding war starts, e price might be quite quite high imo. i know for sure that 2 are definitely keen as ADO are already partners with Merck and Life technologies.

it is also mentioned that a further deal within the next 3mths.
