Just to clarify, I don't mind if they bear in mind the inaccuracy of the test and then keep that possibility in the back of their mind as they revise their assumptions with an open mind. That would be good clinical practice.
But no, they conflate a test result which is only probably accurate with one that is an absolute certainty.
(It's not good enough).
