They are in somewhat of a bind with ASIC looking at the bank communication protocols.
Of course the recent announcement from the new RBA chief about getting rid of bank delays of fund transfers is instructive.
Only problem is the RBA wants a central control payment system which could mean potentially a cashless system controlled by a CB.
Of course as with UBER this is a fraught space.
