I understand Optus is about to introduce volume charges on broadband like Telstra so make sure you know what it will cost you before you sign up.
It seems to me that all the telcos are pushing up their prices as hard and fast as they can to try and prop up their profits. I guess they have watched the banks give little interest, introduce higher fees and get away with it.
For what it is worth I have Telstra ADSL with a 3GB limit per month. I usually use around 1.5 GB each month. If you use quotetracker beware because it will chew up GB like nothing else. (I don't use it and still consume 1.5GB). Telstra ADSL has been quite stable since the first half of 2001 - teething troubles.
