Amcom achieves national second place in Deloitte Fast 50

    AMCOM TELECOMMUNICATIONS LIMITED 2003-05-14 ASX-SIGNAL-G

    HOMEX - Perth

    +++++++++++++++++++++++++
Niche broadband solution provider Amcom Telecommunications Ltd (ASX:
AMM), was named as Australia's second fastest growing technology
company in the 2003 Deloitte Technology Fast 50, announced yesterday.

The Deloitte Technology Fast 50 is a program that recognises and
profiles fast growing technology companies in Australia, ranking
those companies on percentage revenue growth over the last three
    years.

Amcom recorded revenue growth of 1061% over the 2000 to 2002 period.

Amcom is focused on its core operation of providing broadband
solutions in the regional capitals of Perth, Adelaide and Darwin.
Amcom provides its services to other carriers, large blue chip
    corporates and government enterprises.

Amcom Chairman Tony Grist said that the Company's second place finish
in the Fast 50 was recognition of Amcom's significant development
    over its short history.

"In only its third full financial year since listing, the Company has
achieved remarkable revenue growth - as recognised by the Deloitte
Technology Fast 50 - and has recorded its maiden half yearly net
    profit," Mr Grist said.

Amcom recorded a maiden net profit for the first half of financial
2003, a massive improvement of its full year loss in 2002.

"Achieving profitability was a very important step for Amcom - we are
one of only a very small number of Australian telecommunications
companies actually making money," Mr Grist added.

In addition to its strong revenue growth and half yearly profit,
Amcom was recently recognised as 2003 Carrier of the Year by the peak
industry body, the Australian Telecoms Users Group (ATUG).

"The combination of Amcom's strong financial performance and
recognition by ATUG and the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 are
milestones by which the Company and its shareholders can monitor
Amcom's significant progress," Mr Grist said.
