Tropical Forestry Services manages the largest area of Indian Sandalwood plantation in the world, with over 5000ha planted in the East Kimberley region of WA. TFS is growing its operations and now has planting programs beginning in NT and QLD as well as Kununurra WA. With a massive planting program underway for 2012 and an even larger development on track for 2013, the company needs to expand its establishment team. A reliable and experienced plantation establishment supervisor is required for the planting and ongoing maintenance of TFS Indian Sandalwood plantations across Northern Australia. Reporting to the Establishment Manager, the Establishment Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day coordination of establishment planting crews and first year plantation management. Knowledge and skill Essential: Ability to be mobile and travel with the planting schedules Recent experience and background in forestry/horticulture/agriculture Supervisory experience of forestry/horticulture/agriculture work crews Highly developed people management skills Demonstrate highly developed leadership and communication skills Demonstrate sound time management and organisational skills Current C - class drivers license Tractor operation experience Desirable: HR license Senior First Aid Potential long term position to suitable candidate Minimum 38hrs/week
