Couldn't agree more but I would add that one benefit of diversifying across the various LICs is that it increases the number of opportunities to take part in SPPs, rights issues, etc. Once you're a partner in each of these fine LICs, you can just wait for the SPPs to top up your holdings and avoid contributing too much to the salaries of the "helpers"!
