advice from minister

I contacted the Minister for Defence several months ago re the risk of the IP for this invention going out of Australian hands.
The Minister for Defence Material, the Hon Jason Clare, MP, responded on 26 October that the Commonwealth Government had a number of controls in place to manage IP assets. These include the Foreign Investment Review Board and the Defence Exports Controls Office. These would be involved if the sale of a company or military technology to a foreign investor is proposed.
Given the Government's record on other issues, this was not exactly the response I was hoping for - however, I guess we are at a stage of "suck it and see"! Or should that just be "dream on, suckers!"
I have held MST from the start and increased my stake at regular intervals - yes I had hoped for a windfall from this speccie, but more importantly I viewed it as an opportunity for this country to become more attuned to its own defence and to give our troops superior weaponry. However, whilst we wring our hands at every soldier's life lost so tragically, and our "leaders" grab every photo op, the government has been reluctant to support this technology which might have given them a better outcome. Now it seems to be again "too little, too late"! Especially when we consider some of the military technology they have purchased, with such questionable outcomes. This is not party specific - both sides of government are guilty.
I am also a little amazed at the lack of contact or communication from the administrators - in my case zilch - since the company went in to administration....perhaps indicative of the lack of interest or consideration for those of us who had faith in this whole sorry exercise.
Vale MST - it has been quite a ride!
