re: bhp,renewed assault on 1218 optionsrem,kman,gs GSE and Datasponge apologies for taking so long to reply.GSE if you are in the money and have read the stocks direction incorrectly you buy the position back and either re write at the same strike price furthur out or if the premium allows roll up to a higher/lower strike price.
flat markets are ideal for strangles but if the stock price moves towards or through the strike price i will add to my position either at the money or one strike price above/below. I have not learnt through a trading system but my own market experience and a friend who has written opts for many years. Datasponge rio is a cash cow I have had an excellent run with it, for feb expiry i have 38.00 and 39.50 calls 35.00 and 34.00 puts all naked, I bought the 35.00 puts back yesterday for 3.5c they were written for 60c av.Thanks for the input
