I am concerned any deal now will not reflect the potential value of CTP.
When you look around the world there are few companies that have control of such a large underexplored basin with known energy assets.
Time and money is needed to develop the potential and we all would prefer these assets to be progressed as early as possible.
BUR did a deal with Mitsubishi (I think 50:50) and with some exploration success they have seen a 10x increase in their SP and relative Market Cap of the Joint Venture assets ( this equates to 10x CTP's current Market Cap). If BUR had done the deal for a portion of their Tenements instead of the lot they would now be in a much stronger position going forward.
NSE has done a similar deal with Conoco, no exploration to date but has seen a 4x increase in SP.
I am in favour of a staged farmout of selected areas to maximise returns to shareholders.
