re: advice Get out while you still can. AMP may recover a bit but I can guarantee you there are hundreds of better stocks out there. It's about putting the odds in your favour and also not suffering opportunity cost.
Why would you have money in AMP when you know that it is in a downtrend (odds are not in your favour) and you surely could find better elsewhere (oppportunity cost).
If more people would follow this one simple rule : "Do NOT hold stocks in medium/long term downtrends" there would be less failed traders around.
