I read several months ago the AEA Innovate grant decisions are due in March 2025. If you read the detail, Sparc, is potentially eligible for $5 million in grant funding. The company has been quiet about a capital raise despite the modest cash reserves. I remain optimistic of more funding because they meet the funding criteria for 'Innovate' but they previously received funding from the baby funding round AEA Ignite. The Federal government could also do with some positive news on the hydrogen front given the pull back on large scale projects.
It'll be interesting to see if the share price shifts prior to the announcement. Knowing government systems, the decisions on who receives grant funding will have been made well before the announcement. If the share price starts bubbling without any discernible reason then it may indicate grant funding has been approved.
