AEE chart thread, page-168

It's pissing down and cold outside where I live so instead of heaving some rocks around the garden I started clearing out some old CDs. And guess what I found? An old data CD.

So what?

Several have used Paladin Resources as a model of how we'd like AEE to go: from the 2 cent level to $9 plus, and so it's important to look at the behaviour of the stock as it breaks out and on the way,particularly time periods etc.,but this data is now difficult to find and even on line brokers,IF they go back to pre 2002 will have at best weekly charts.

So,cutting to the chase,here are some charts from my ancient Metastock program going back to the pre break-out days.It wasn't until Aug 2004 that the first decent run came.

Features of importance in "the early days"
On balance volume starts rising
The MACD "wakes up"
All secondary to the raw events of some price spikes AND retracements.

Even though AEE is more diverse than PDN in its early days,the model is still valid,probably,and we are at the time of the spikes showing in the early day chart.Volumes are picking up.

AEE's on balance volume has dramatically picked up on weekly data sets.With bot trading,this is masked(another reason why the bots are so active- they mask many well know signals-weekly data sets are more reliable now on these older indicators)

If the model is valid,then we are in for a monster ride but inordinate patience is required with retracements being the norm.
