You would have to think the above statement takes out some of the political risk.
Personally I believe the present delay is just the slow bureaucratic process. The PM is already on record as supporting the LAMP, the PSC recommended it, so any political damage (if there is any) has already been done.
From the Quarterly, LAMPS UP had 1,357 workers on site, that together with the permanent LAMP staff is far more than any anti Lynas rally. In any case the election could be well into next year.
