Just spending some time looking through AELB website for any clues that I haven't seen before, I noticed a slight difference in the FAQ's re: Lynas between July & August.
The new addition states:
When will TOL be issued?
"...The TOL will be issued upon the completion of the due process and the fulfilment of all licence conditions by Lynas."
Add this to the additional conditions required by MOSTI to have a method to immobilize radioactive elements and (more importantly) an emergency response plan to control the release of dust.
As quoted from MOSTI:
“The Emergency Response Plan is necessary in the event the water sprinkler system fails and it should include a contingency measure to provide an alternative water source on standby at all times.”
The way I read MOSTI's FAQ this plan needs to be in place, proven to be working and ready before the TOL is to be issued.
It's been two months since these conditions were added.
Anyone with expertise in this area know how long this could take?
Please note, no offense, but I kindly request no responses stating:
- This doesn't matter
- How much you hate Malaysia and will never invest there again
- How much you hate shorters
I do encourage rockets as I find them funny.
