I am unsure how big the facility is exactly but I am guessing a secondary sprinkler system with self-contained water supplies could be built within a month.

However, before that starts, the plan would have to be drawn up and approved and this is probably where the problem lies. I strongly suspect that Lynas is being knocked back for any excuse just to delay this decision until after the election.

Of course, perhaps they are demanding a more elaborate solution which could take a lot longer to plan and build as there would be many more points which could be critisized.

I fear that the fact there has been no announcements or news means no progress is being made.
