So far, coal has been subsidised for 50 yrs or so?

With the coal plants looking to shut down over the next decade, that susidy and propping up will be re-directed.

I see AGL has positioned itself better. Not as well as Origin (who scored the gas terminal), but still looking very healthy at the moment. With AGL planning on shutting down coal plants even sooner, that has to say something about the profitability of coal.

AGL is not clean and green by any means, but it seems to be attracting more renewable focussed investors, and that has turned the tide for them.
