I'd expand to say that gas into a pipeline must adhere to the impurity specifications or limit (in ppm).
H2S, or generically sulphur, is an impurity and there's a limit for sulphur. So the relationship between absorbers and volume will never be linear as APA/COE don't need to remove all the sulphur.
In the absence of facts, we can only interpret what we see in the daily delivery numbers. Some may call this speculation but the 34/36 tweak and perhaps the lengthened cycle could be interpreted as APA/COE moving the actual delivered gas spec closer to the limit. Nothing else has changed unless Sole is currently producing gas with less H2S?
Nevertheless, until the sulphur removal process functions as intended, we'll remain at the mercy of the shorters for good reason. There's uncertainty.
