Agree with yours and everyone's sentiment around the SP manipulation.
There seems to be a big disconnect between COE production, high gas prices, and how that should be converting to increasing value in the SP. This should be well above 30 cents and moving north. Someone did a good job yesterday holding the price down.
There is no real news that i can see around a takeover of COE other than its partner APA APA is currently way overvalued IMO. There is speculation that APA are also on the Hunt for companies to takeover. Maybe COE are a target.
If your Super is performing worse that COE that is a big problem. Time to change funds, unless it is self managed. To date COE has been the worse performing share in my portfolio. However, I hold firm as an investor as I think there is some value cooking away.
