use them on everything Shane. Their use is absolutely crucial here on the sandy coastal plains around Perth. They allow the water to soak in (reduce puddling and therefore evaporation) and hold the water around root level thereby maximising water use. You can get them in granular or liquid form to spread on your lawn. I have used them on an old buffalo lawn too (not the new aged stuff). The stuff that used to cut your feet when you ran on it. lol
