@BurlzeyWell my boy you need to do your research. DST I believe stands for in FBR's words "Dynamic Stabilisation Technology (DST™), which counteracts environmental factors to enable precise positioning of objects over distances"
That is precisely what DP technology does for ships. In brief for your info [since you mentioned ships] DP systems takes "environmental factors" such as position,wind modeled against the ships form, tide and pitch and roll. It takes this info and compares it to in "now" times with accurate GPS positioning to keep offshore ships in accurate positions. [no different to a block on the end of HX's boom] Within fractions of a metre from rigs and sometimes live gas risers 24/7 in significant sea states. The "old tech" used reference systems such as Radio and later laser positioning now superceeded with differential GPS. HX uses laser positioning. You can do some google study on the metrics of accuracy and the strengths of evironmetal forces taken care of in the offshore oil industry and then tell me I'm talking crap!.
I have been involved in the software and operational parts of these vessels as part of my career and say again DST is old tech. Maybe you are the one with the minimal understanding of the tech. There are numerous other examples in industry.
As I said that is not to say other parts of HX as mentioned in my latest post ie the block delivery and interface with and the CAD aspects are not clever. I think those parts are pretty good.
The commercial aspects of FBR as mentioned in my latest post I stick by my criticism.
I did not say I was an "IPO investor" I was in the top 20 shareholders with north of that number of shares which I bought over a longish period. I did not buy into any SPP's. My trust still has a few shares. I mentioned the loss as there seems to be a lot of posters here on HC that could loose a lot so my case may give balance to them to not worry. Exiting at a loss can be a strategy for an initial or subsequent bad decision. [the latter in my case] If you are happy with your research as you seem to be stick around. Your call.
Just to give you some more thought fodder the losses I suffered with FBR are as of yesterday over 150% positive of that figure.Now in profit, to make it clear to you Miss Burlzey, with the dregs I got out with. ie don't risk what you cant afford to loose and you will have the balls to sell at a loss
As for being at school with those you quoted I do not have any affiliation with them however I enjoy Hokey and Troopy in particular and agree with them for the most part as Hokey deals with the trading aspects and Troopy with construction. I also enjoy John the pom Nicholas's views but he is in and I'm out but at least he is measured and polite.
