AF alone will not make the share price move. I suspect the only way he could make the share price move is by selling his stake to somebody in the nickel game with deep pockets and a desire.

I take some comfort from the wise words of Peter Bradford as stated in the September AFR article:

Independence managing director Peter Bradford said the current nickel price dynamic had been building for some time, with demand outstripping supply over the last three years. Mr Bradford said this had led to a drawdown in inventory to levels where any supply surprise could lead to immediate and sharp price movement. "Going forward there is the risk of increased tightness with continued demand for nickel into stainless steel and increasing demand for nickel into electric vehicle batteries," he said.

That short grab could perhaps go a long way in explaining the recent IGO move on PAN.
