    Not to mention being too far up themselves.

    Even in defeat they remain as arrogant as ever.

    Failure to show due respect to your opponents will more often than not see you end up on the losing side and that proved to be the case again.

    And Lucas Neill's comments to the media after the game show the lesson continues to go unheeded with such hubris as the following: "You don't always get what you deserve."

    Forget about praising the opposition and conceding they were the better team on the night and congratulating them on their victory and admitting that you just weren't good enough and that you will have to do better next time!

    Time for a few players to retire I think and a new direction to be taken in Australian football.
