BNP Paribas nominees is just the custodian of assets that the clients of this bank hold with them in custody. There may be lots of smaller shareholders represented by BNP (Banque Nationale de Paris I think). All Banks hold some of their clients' assets custody. You need to check if your account is a custodial or non custodial account.
I believe that my holdings would appear in the holdings of Macquarie bank custodian which I think is Bond street nominees.
