' Affinity Education has entered exclusive talks with Anchorage Capital on a $208m takeover after snubbing a controversial bid from local rival G8 Education. The Anchorage play has been structured to ensure only 50 per cent approval is required, shrewdly dodging the risk of G8 using its near 25 per cent stake to block the deal.'
