I find the active customers comparison across BNPL players to be misleading.
You may have already done this, if not try standardising the active customers to a value, say $1000 per annum.
Then from there I do two metrics
- avg spend per customer (this tells me if they change their definition of active customer or if there is growth in expenditure ; and
- a true comparison of active customers across BNPL with each “active customer” being worth the same amount.
